Amanda Becraft
Studio Owner & Instructor
Amanda is a Virginia Beach native and was first introduced to Pilates through her studies at The Govenors Magnet School For the Arts dance program 1993-1996. Then in 2015 she discovered the Pilates Reformer and fell in love! This piece of equipment opened up an entire world of strength and stability training that helped her build long lean muscle, and help prevent future injuries. Pilates' rehabilitative nature also spoke to her... she personally rehabilitated from a torn meniscus and ACL, and also helped family members recover from strokes and hip replacements through this methodology and its' equipment.
After seeing (and experiencing) how Pilates can help people to gain full natural mobility AND overcome/recover from some of the most debilitating injuries and health events, she knew she had to spread the word! ... and Dawn Pilates Studio was born.
We are a boutique Reformer-based Pilates Studio that prides itself in offering an individualized and affordable experience to all people at EVERY stage of their life!

Christine
Instructor
Christine's first Pilates experience was being trained by gayla zukovich at norfolk's Virginia ballet theater. She has taught Vagonova-based ballet at the Academie de Ballet in Chesapeake, And completed her comprehensive Pilates certification in 2020.
Being able to watch people's bodies visually transform and see people move and feel better is what Christine loves most about teaching this incredible method of exercise.
She enjoys getting to know the clients and helping them achieve their fitness goals- whether it's being able to get up out of a chair more easily or swinging a hockey stick with more torso rotation. Each success is so rewarding!

Sarah
Instructor
Sarah is a Certified Pilates Instructor. Twenty five years ago, she was introduced to the Pilates Method, and since has had a love and respect for the genius teaching of Joseph Pilates.
Sarah enjoys all aspects of wellness and travel. She is most comfortable with her family and passionate about her faith. You could often find her hiking the Blue Ridge Mountains, her ancestral homeland. She is proud to be an Enrolled Member of the Monacan Indian Nation.

Patrina
Instructor
Patrina is a native of Virginia Beach. She received her Bachelors of Science in Dental Hygiene from Old Dominion University. She went on to obtain her DMD degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine and completed an AEGD residency at East Carolina University. Outside of dentistry, she is a forever learner, attending and taking continuing education courses when she can. She is a proud aunt, that cherishes spending time with her family and friends. She is a closet foodie that enjoys staying active and traveling. She is an avid social athlete (former Wednesday Kickball Champ) that aspires to be a member of a run club.

Hailey

Hi, I’m Hailey! I’m a new mom to a beautiful baby girl and a proud dog mom to two French bulldogs.
I started my journey Pilates five years ago and quickly fell in love with how it strengthens, restores, and supports the body in a truly balanced way. That passion led me to pursue my certification through Dawn Pilates Studio, where I deepened my understanding of the method and its incredible benefits.
My favorite thing about Pilates is that it’s truly for everyone—no matter your age, experience level, or stage of life. It meets you where you are and helps you build strength from the inside out.

Her Pilates journey began with mat classes at home, where she quickly fell in love with the method. Soon after, she was introduced to the reformer and developed an even deeper appreciation for the movement system so brilliantly created by Joseph Pilates.
Emma is passionate not only about Pilates itself, but especially about teaching. One of her favorite parts of instructing is watching clients grow stronger and more confident week after week, and seeing the joy that progress brings them. She has a deep love for health and wellness, and the foundation of her life is rooted in her faith and family.

Chelsea

Chelsea brings an upbeat, welcoming energy to every class, creating a space where clients feel supported, challenged, and confident in their movement. Her love for Pilates started through her own wellness journey and quickly grew into a passion for helping others feel strong and empowered.
Outside of the studio, Chelle loves being outdoors, playing tennis, traveling, and spending time with her dog. She believes movement should feel good, build confidence, and become part of a balanced, fulfilling lifestyle.
